Originally from the coastal plains of southeast Georgia, Terry spent much of his life exploring the forests and coastal swamps of the southeast before moving to Oregon in 2012. He is a senior undergraduate student in the Environmental Science and Management department at PSU, and currently works on a National Science Foundation REU under Dr. Lucash that examines forest recovery following wildfire in the Klamath ecoregion.. Following graduation, he hopes to further pursue a graduate degree studying the interactions between fluvial and forest ecosystems in the Pacific Northwest. Outside of school and the lab, he enjoys canoeing, hiking, and spending time with his family.
